What is Coaching?

Philosophy

Gay Pride queer pride

We are all brought into this world as a blank canvas. As our surroundings begin to shape us, we become restricted by fears and limitations.

As a coach I question those limiting beliefs that our societies have given to us, so that we can access our most undeniable authentic selves.

The majority of LGBTQ+ people and those questioning their sexual orientation are swimming against the tide of societal “norms”, and like every human on earth, wanting to be seen, heard and to uniquely express themselves.

We come to coaching with the courage to face these conditioned beliefs and the willingness to accept our true values and imperfectly perfect selves.

How it works

What do you want and what is stopping you from getting it?

What needs to change for you to obtain it?

To make changes in your life you have to do things differently because, if you keep doing the same thing you will keep getting the same result!

Our time together will create awareness of the beliefs that you have about yourself and how they are keeping you stuck in unhelpful thought patterns. Through a fusion of coaching, NLP and hypnotherapy, we then take steps to break those patterns and move forward, creating new paths of thought and behaviour, giving you the life you want and deserve!

Life as a person who does not identify as heterosexual and for some who are questioning their sexual orientation, we are navigating a world that the majority of the time tells us that we are not “the norm”. From this narrative can stem an overwhelm of uncomfortable emotions and thoughts about ourselves.

Feeling like we are different or unworthy can lead us to feeling constant anxiety, living in fear of “what if people find out” or “what will others think of me”, and so often leading to self destructive coping behaviours to help deal with external negative messaging about queer people, and in some cases, our own harmful beliefs about ourselves and what it means to be LGBTQ+ or anything but heterosexual.

“ Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we will ever do. “

- Brene Brown

When we are unable to authentically express ourselves, the results can have a devastating impact on both our mental health as well as our physical wellness, which can manifest itself in ways such as these below and a host more…

  • low self esteem

  • lack of confidence

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • migraines

  • addiction

  • self harm

  • digestion issues

  • skin conditions

  • autoimmune disease

All of which have a knock on effect into all areas of our life.
