What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching offers a transformational space for reflection, discovery and clarity of vision, and with accountability, make progress towards one’s vision or specific outcome.
A Trauma Informed Coach is skilled in recognising the repercussions and links between what you are experiencing now and where those patterns may have been formed. Most importantly, how to support you best to release unconscious unprocessed trauma stored in the body, creating symptoms and obstacles to your emotional and physical wellbeing.
My coaching methodology uses a holistic solution focussed approach to nurture the wellbeing of the mind, body and spirit of the person to achieve a specific outcome.
Therapists diagnose and manage mental health conditions and help to navigate times of crisis. They also have specialist knowledge associated with certain traumas.
Therapy is often open ended, whilst coaching has an end date when a specific outcome has been achieved.
Coaching can be complimentary to therapy and I would suggest you do your own research regarding your own specific needs for coaching and / or therapy.
